Williams Monument Company was founded in 1997 with the belief that memorials should be made the right way. Here at Williams Monument Company we design and engrave every memorial in our facility to truly commemorate the life of your loved one.
The business was started from humble beginnings in an old farm building outside of Arvin, California. David Williams had nothing but the desire to help people in a way that is lacking in the “Death Care Industry." He soon joined the Monument Builders of North America to be a part of a professional group of individuals with a common interest in furthering knowledge, skill and professionalism. In this organization, David has learned from other experienced Monument Builders and through participation in many educational opportunities that have been provided. We have always believed that there is room for more knowledge and if we stop learning, we might as well stop.
After 7 years at our first location, we moved in to the town of Arvin and shortly there after purchased the building located at 792 Bear Mountain Blvd. This was a fine location to help in our growth as a business, but we were limited by our location. Throughout the four years in Arvin, David continued his participation in MBNA and also became more involved in the California Monument Association where he now serves as a member of the Board of Directors. In March of 2005, David earned his designation of Certified Memorialist. This is the highest achievement in our industry that represents knowledge and a commitment to our customers by upholding the values and ethics that represent the highest business practices. Currently, David Williams is one of only 3 Certified Memorialists in California.
During the spring of 2008 Williams Monument Company moved to our present location in Bakersfield. This is part of our desire to reach more people with a better way of doing business in the Memorial Industry. Our current location is large enough to handle all kinds of granite projects, and is centrally located in Bakersfield, making it easy to get to and from any where in Kern County.
With our ongoing education and participation in the Memorial Industry, Williams Monument Company continues to be at the fore-front of technology, skill and experience in Kern County.
It is our desire to continue to serve Kern County and Southern California for many years to come.
